I haven’t read the ISF mailing lists in 36 hours and I feel utterly lost on the going-ons. Okay, maybe not utterly lost, but goddamn!
Must.think. of some way to make the discussions more accessible to first-timers/newbies! Any ideas?

Hi, Denki.
I don’t get your concern. Which discussions do you find so inaccessible? The Volunteers’ mailing list?
I agree that mailing lists are not as user-friendly as forums. Are you suggesting we should evolve to a forum?

aah sorry Jeff for the delay, I’m always very bad with unpacking my boxes when I move to a new home
.
I was just talking about how getting back up to speed on the lists can be scary at first when you miss a bunch of posts…Forums have their definite advantages, but mailing lists have the advantage of being “portable” – accessible from a wide variety of devices such as blackberry type things with little overhead…
It IS something that should be discussed in a meeting, I think.
Portable, schmortable
I’m writing this with a stylus on my iPAQ on my back in bed when I should be sleeping. I don’t think we shoud target our communications at limited hardware like Blackberrys…
